Abstract

Throughout this work, starting from a previous and very short conceptualization of the most frequented terms, we will see the main data on the worldwide increase in the number of older people, we will show what social work means in the area of the elderly, specified in Spain, that is, in a country with a European environment that moves around the socio-economic average of the euro area, will later address the issue of linking the social worker's university education and the study of subjects that include aging, or the greater in any of its perspectives, and training will be reached as a form of socialization and inculturation of the elderly, provided primarily by Social Services at the local level and in universities, providing a reflection on all this.
